Red Bull have extended Isack Hadjar's contract through the 2027 season, keeping faith in the 21-year-old despite a wrist injury picked up during the summer break that forced him to miss three rounds. The Austrian team confirmed the news a day before the Frenchman's return at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku, where he will resume his partnership alongside four-time world champion Max Verstappen. Before his enforced absence, Hadjar had been in impressive form, stringing together seven consecutive top-six finishes.
Team principal Laurent Mekies praised the young driver's consistency, singling out the composure he has shown in Formula 1 as far back as his debut round in Melbourne. Hadjar, who joined the team eight months ago, made no secret of his delight. "Continuing with Oracle Red Bull Racing is a huge source of joy for me and a really important step," he said.
