Minnesota Timberwolves centre Rudy Gobert has given glowing feedback on new arrival LaMelo Ball, saying the guard, who has never played in the play-offs, will be fighting for a championship. The 34-year-old Gobert has 1,001 games under his belt, three All-Star selections and four Defensive Player of the Year awards, whereas the 25-year-old Ball never made the play-offs in 303 games with the Charlotte Hornets. Across four pre-season games, the French centre averaged 5.8 points and 5.8 rebounds, while Ball posted 9.5 points and 5.8 assists.
"You can tell that he's hungry to win," Gobert said of his young team-mate. He added that Ball gives his all in training and has a clear understanding of the team's high ambitions.
