Fabrizio Romano has dismissed reports in the Italian media that Antonio Conte has agreed to take over at Manchester United. "My understanding is that Antonio Conte has no agreement with any club," the transfer expert clarified. Romano added that Conte is ready to accept an offer mid-season, but has turned down an astronomical proposal from Saudi Arabia.
The situation at Old Trafford is critical. United's hierarchy does not want to sack Michael Carrick, yet his position looks increasingly shaky ahead of the trip to face Leeds United at Elland Road.
