Manchester United are understood to have put a €10 million price tag on Andre Onana as they look to sell the 30-year-old Cameroonian goalkeeper. Signed from Inter Milan in a £47.5 million deal in the summer of 2023, Onana joined Turkish club Trabzonspor on loan after seasons of struggle at Old Trafford, and quickly rediscovered his form there. As for why he fell out of favour in Manchester, former Italian goalkeeper Alberto Fontana has claimed that the Cameroonian's eccentric style made him unpopular among his United teammates.

Buoyed by his performances in Turkey, Trabzonspor want to buy out Onana's contract, which runs until 2028, and turn a loan due to expire in 2027 into a permanent deal. United have made offloading the high-earning goalkeeper a priority since adding young goalkeeper Senne Lammens to their ranks. Yet the Turkish club are pushing for a lower fee. Formal negotiations are set to begin in the coming days as both sides look to get the deal over the line.
