Middleweight contender Nassourdine Imavov has put $500,000 of his own money on the line to land a January rematch with champion Sean Strickland. The title fight has slipped to 2027 after Charles Oliveira's bout with Diego Lopes was named as the UFC 335 main event. Strickland is reportedly demanding $1 million to fight in January, while the promotion is offering $400,000 to show and another $400,000 to win. Imavov hit back on X, formerly Twitter. "If it's really about money, I'll put $500K of my own money on the line if you beat me in January [Sean Strickland], putting this on record," he wrote. "If you still don't take it, then you're just scared. I'll handle you outside. UFC, THIS is your champ? Come on, STRIP HIM."
The Frenchman openly urged the UFC to strip Strickland of the title if he turns down the fight over money. The reigning champion has yet to respond officially to the very public challenge and ultimatum.
