McLaren Racing have announced they are selling five iconic Formula 1 cars from their Heritage Collection, with the sale handled by Tom Hartley Jnr. Among the cars on offer are two examples of the 1991 MP4-6, which Ayrton Senna used in testing and Gerhard Berger raced. Also up for sale is the 2012 MP4-27, tested by Lewis Hamilton and raced by Jenson Button. Completing the collection are the 2021 MCL35M, driven by Lando Norris at Monaco in Gulf livery, and the 2023 MCL37.
"We have decided to part with these iconic McLaren Formula One cars because we feel that having them simply sitting in storage is a disservice to what they represent," McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown said of the decision. Each car is expected to fetch between £5 million and £10 million.
