Mercedes are closing in on their first constructors' title since 2021, arriving at the São Paulo Grand Prix with a 126-point lead over Ferrari. A maximum of 172 points remains available across the final four rounds, and only 129 will be left on the table once the Brazilian weekend is over. To seal the championship officially at Interlagos, the German team must outscore Ferrari by three points. It all comes down to the maths. Should either Kimi Antonelli or George Russell win the race with the other finishing in the top four, Mercedes will be out of reach.

Top of the standings on 630 points, Mercedes would be guaranteed the title by finishing first and second, first and third, or first and fourth. Even a Ferrari victory would not necessarily stop them: the Silver Arrows can still be crowned if both their drivers join the winning Ferrari on the podium and the Italian team's second car finishes eighth or lower. After Brazil, three rounds will remain, in Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
