After shooting 32.4% from the field in the first two games of the regular season, Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out for several weeks by the Toronto Raptors with swelling in his left knee. Despite averaging 3.5 steals in 26.0 minutes a game, the 35-year-old forward will need medical treatment and a course of rehabilitation, although no structural damage has been found. Ja'Kobe Walter has been promoted to the starting five in his absence.

The knee has let him down again. Leonard will miss the coming games, including the trip to the Intuit Dome to face his former club, the LA Clippers. It is worth remembering that Toronto gave up Brandon Ingram to land him.
