83 points this season — if Liam Lawson were a constructor in his own right, he would sit sixth in the championship, ahead of Alpine. Even so, his seat at Racing Bulls for the 2027 season is not guaranteed, with the team weighing up the promotion of F2 protégé Nikola Tsolov, while Arvid Lindblad, on 38 points, is set to stay. At the Mexico City Grand Prix, Lawson fought his way through from a pit-lane start, crossed the line ninth and was promoted to seventh after penalties. "It is hard because you want to enjoy the good results as much as possible, and for us, we had a great race... When we have a race like that, [not knowing about my future] takes away from some of the emotion when it is so undecided about my future," Lawson admitted. "It is pretty blurry at the moment," he added. The future is shrouded in fog. Lawson insists he is getting the maximum out of the car and is hoping for success in Brazil.
