Fernando Alonso says Aston Martin and Honda have pinpointed the causes of their problems after he finished 16th at the Singapore Grand Prix. "There are a few things that we need to still understand... Problems are understood. Areas of improvement are understood," the two-time world champion said. A new turbocharger fitted in Singapore failed to cure the turbo lag because of the nature of the circuit, although checks on the power units at Honda's Sakura base found no serious damage.

Aston Martin sit 10th in the constructors' championship, five points behind Williams, with only six races of the season remaining.
