Daniel Dubois demolished Fabio Wardley in the second round of their WBO heavyweight title rematch in front of 19,000 fans at London's O2 Arena, having dropped him just 17 seconds into the fight. Unlike their first meeting in May, when Dubois had to survive two knockdowns to turn the contest around, the champion gave his opponent no way back this time. Referee Steve Gray stopped the fight 39 seconds before the end of the second round after Wardley's trainer, Ben Davison, threw in the towel.

The punch statistics told the story of total dominance: Dubois landed 60 punches to Wardley's four, 51 of them power shots. The victory took the champion's professional record to 24 wins, 23 of them by knockout.
