The US Open has committed an unprecedented $108 million in prize money, the largest purse in the history of the Grand Slams. The tournament's budget in New York has grown by 20% on last year. The singles champions will collect a record sum of $5.5 million. Last season at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka each earned $5 million; this year the champion's reward rises by half a million.
The organisers have raised the rate at every stage. Every player who makes the 128-strong main draw will bank at least $140,000, a record figure for a first round. Since 2024, the tournament's budget has climbed by 44%. The US Open formally retains its status as the highest-paying tennis tournament in the world.
