Lorenzo Musetti needed just an hour and 40 minutes to beat world number one Alexander Zverev 7-6, 6-2 in the second round of the 2026 Rolex Paris Masters. The Italian won 71 of the 130 points played, to Zverev's 59. The German held a slight edge on aces, firing nine to Musetti's eight, but the contest was settled on second serves and break-point conversion. Zverev landed 73% of his first serves and won 35 of the 49 points behind them, while Musetti landed 67% and won 33 of 42. Yet it was behind the second delivery that the Italian pulled clear, winning 62% (13/21) of those points on his own serve compared with Zverev's 39% (7/18).
