Orlando Magic's 21-year-old small forward Noah Penda faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after partially tearing his right hamstring in the final pre-season game against the Miami Heat. The 32nd pick in the 2025 draft, who will earn $2.15 million this season, had only just recovered from an injury sustained during training camp, but this time a different part of the muscle has been damaged. He made 59 appearances in his rookie season.

The medical staff are working flat out to get players back, with the club also assessing Franz Wagner's sore shoulder and Jase Richardson's back injury ahead of the season opener against the Atlanta Hawks.
