After two defeats in their first three games of the season, Nikola Jokic has hit back hard at Denver Nuggets supporters who booed their own team. "I just said what I said. I'm sticking to what I said. I played in a much worse environment... So, I'm not used to fans booing their own team," the Serbian centre said, responding to the hostile mood at Ball Arena. He went further, suggesting that fans who behave that way are not genuine supporters. "Probably they are, but I think they're not the real fans," he added.

Jokic did not dodge the criticism either. Asked about the team's dire defensive situation, he was blunt. "To be honest, everything. We cannot defend," he said. The Serbian star stressed that every single part of their game must improve before the road trip.
