An arm injury kept Jack Draper out of all four Grand Slam tournaments in 2026, and the 24-year-old has tumbled to 155th in the world rankings. The former world number four last played on 13 August at the Cincinnati Open, where a third consecutive defeat left him with an 8-7 win-loss record for the year.
"Dealing with so much change, difficulty and pain has helped me grow as a person in many areas of my life, but I've also felt a level of exhaustion that made it hard to keep playing," the British player told reporters. Draper, a three-time title winner on tour, now plans a full rehabilitation and will return at the start of the 2027 season.
