The Golden State Warriors' Latvian centre Kristaps Porzingis has missed the team's entire two-week training camp because of a personal medical issue. The 561-game NBA veteran has no set timeline for a return. While the team was in Las Vegas for a preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Porzingis met Rick Celebrini, the club's director of sports medicine and performance, at the Chase Center in San Francisco. His absence leaves the Warriors with a serious problem heading into the start of the season.

No Return Date For Porzingis As New Season Nears

"He'll be here tomorrow... No update beyond that. But he'll be in the building meeting with Rick and the performance staff," head coach Steve Kerr said, confirming the Latvian's situation. Porzingis has battled postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, known as POTS, over the past two years, although the club has not officially said whether his current enforced absence is linked to the condition.
