Azerbaijani fighter Farman Hasanov's six-fight winning run ended in a horrific injury and the first defeat of his career at UFC Vegas 123, held at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. In the welterweight bout between the 31-year-old Hasanov and Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani, the American took the first two rounds convincingly on the judges' scorecards. Midway through the second round, Lebosnoyani unleashed a powerful barrage that opened a deep cut above Hasanov's left eye. At 2:11 of the third round, referee Dan Miragliotta was forced to halt the fight on the doctor's advice. It was a bloody Halloween in every sense, and UFC president Dana White posted a photo of the wound on Instagram with the caption: "Happy Halloween."

Bloody Halloween! Hasanov's perfect record Shattered by Horror cut

Hasanov had made his UFC debut in June 2026, beating Eric Nolan by unanimous decision. Lebosnoyani, meanwhile, added a significant technical knockout win to his record. For Hasanov, it was the first defeat of a professional career that began in 2022.
